Based in North Carolina, People of Faith Against the Death Penalty works to educate and mobilize faith communities to act to abolish the death penalty in the United States. The fall of 2007 marked the 400th anniversary of the first documented execution by an English-speaking government on American colonial soil, in Jamestown, Virginia. Still today, more than 80 percent of executions take place in the South. PFADP's Take Action, Not Lives (TANL) blog is intended to offer you a place to share your thoughts and ideas on tactics, strategies, sermons, campaigns, forums, events, and whatever you think will help educate and mobilize people to take action - not lives.
